        Grades 3-6 The Gaming and eSports series offers young video-game enthusiasts information from multiple angles. High Score glorifies the pursuit of the professional gamer, touching on a variety of celebrity gamers and major competitions while encouraging kids to chase their own eSports dreams. As a group, these titles complement one another well, covering a wide base of pertinent information. Each double-page spread incorporates a paragraph or two into a layout somewhat busy with video-gamey graphics, supplemented by the occasional info box. While the tone of much of the writing is introductory, this series best suited to kids already familiar with e-games and their conventions, as foreknowledge is often assumed and subjects vary from page to page. Back matter contains an index, after-reading questions, and activity prompts.
