A FAREWELL LETTER TO THE AUDI RS3 • News that Audi could be discontinuing the RS3 fills me with sadness. Stricter emission regulations mean Audi’s legendary 5-cylinder engine likely won’t be around for much longer.
WHY THE SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD8 MIGHT FINALLY BE THE RIGHT SIZE FOR A FOLDABLE PHONE • I have used my fair share of foldable phones over the years, but the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 might be the first one that feels as though it has settled on the right size.
SAMSUNG’S NEW FOLDABLE PHONES MIGHT HAVE APPLE IN A PICKLE • Can they still call it the iPhone Ultra if the Z Fold8 Ultra exists?
I INSTALLED THE IOS 27 PUBLIC BETA, AND THIS IS MY FAVOURITE NEW FEATURE • In July 2026, Apple released the public beta of iOS 27. For those unfamiliar with the whole business of betas, Apple offers two betas for its new software platforms.
TOUGH, LIGHT, SURPRISINGLY EFFICIENT • What makes a good laptop? For some brands, it is about adding more power or battery life. For others, it is about making the machine sleeker and lighter.
A CLEVER TWO-IN-ONE KEYBOARD • Gaming keyboards these days are no longer just about choosing between linear or tactile switches. There are other considerations, including the layout, RGB lighting and, increasingly, whether to go with analogue or mechanical switches.
ENTERTAINMENT AROUND THE HOME • There is a growing category of screens that refuses to stay in one place, and Singapore is arguably the market where that idea makes the most sense.
IMPROVEMENTS WHERE IT MATTERS • Sennheiser has refreshed its consumer headphone lineup with the Momentum 5 Wireless, launching at $100 more than its predecessor. To justify the premium price tag, the audio giant claims upgraded ANC performance, refined Transparency mode, and enhanced on-head detection, all while retaining a massive 57-hour battery life.
BEAT THE HEAT AND LOOK COOL • With temperatures set to rise in the upcoming months thanks to El Niño, most of us will probably be desperately looking for ways to keep cool. While air conditioning is one solution for us office-bound folks, that won’t work for people who need to be outside in the heat or for those who have long walks to the MRT station or bus stop.
