THE INTERNATIONAL PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 2021 • The first running of the International Portrait Photographer Of The Year awards attracted close to 1,000 entries from around the world, including a very strong showing from Australians across the competition’s four categories.

FRAGMENTS OF LIFE • Paris, transformed by the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, provided photojournalist Tony Maniaty with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to recapture the spirit of the golden era of French ‘humanist’ photography and its focus on people“getting through”.
