NEW IRRIGATOR

Surprisingly positive • Over 40,000 walked through the doors of the NEC to see the latest and greatest farm machinery on the British market. Nick Fone and Mervyn Bailey picked out these new machines from the LAMMA 2024crowd.

Fendt 728 Vario: Climb up and be happy? • There’s no question that the 728 Gen 7 is a premium tractor — both in terms of its technology and price. Any boxes left to tick? Or is it all just peachy?

Three tractors in comparison • This is a comparison of three similar hp tractors that have been tested by profi in past magazines

Horsch Maestro 6TX precision planter: TX, totally flexible • Horsch’s new Maestro TX is designed for planting speeds of up to 15km/hr. Its other standout feature? The ability to alter row widths in 5cm increments from 45cm to 80cm. We worked with one of these six-row planters last season.

Moreni Kronos KQ300C power harrow: A Samurai with three swords • Looking to stand out from the power harrow crowd, Italian machine maker Moreni has come up with a special tine design. We take a look at the three-blade arrangement on the 3.0m Kronos.

Meneguzzo LOP 120S front topper: Top topping weeds • When weeds start to stand taller than the crop of turnips, cabbages or even grain, then there’s an opportunity to limit the next weed bank. Meneguzzo has developed a front-mounted topper for clipping weed tops.

Paus TL9078 wheeled loader: Strong yet rare • The core business for Paus is special construction kit as well as machines for mining operations. Yet the firm also has an interesting line-up of wheeled and telescopic loaders for the agri sector.

Pöttinger Terrasem V6000 DZ Profiline seed drill: Fully automatic • Pöttinger is now equipping its Terrasem cultivator drill with a comfort control system, which leaves almost nothing for the operator to do.

Kuhn GF 13003 Tedder. • Exclusively tested in our Green Harvest special

Baselier FA310W potato planter: Narrowed planter with integral rotary cultivator • Baselier planters, handled in the UK by Standen Engineering, offer a range of modes including those that can be fitted with and integral rotary cultivator. Here we take a look at a narrowed newcomer.

Amazone Catros+ 7003-2TS disc harrow: Simple set-up • Amazone is updating its Catros+ range with the latest generation 03 series in both mounted (03-2) and trailed (03-2TS) formats. The machines span working widths of 3.0m to 7.0m, although the key talking point is their Smart Frame.

Horsch Sprinter tine drills: Long running • This is our third used buying article covering Horsch tine drills, the initial CO models we looked at having been introduced in 1999 with the change to the Sprinter name in 2005. Despite a production...
