Deutz-Fahr 6185 TTV: Quite satisfied • Nestling in what has now become the all-rounder power bracket, the 175hp rated/188hp max 6185 TTV is still not an everyday find in the UK or even in Ireland where Deutz has previously been well regarded. In Germany, on the other hand, this model is more common. So, has the 6185 lived up to the expectations of our long-term test owner?

Fendt Katana 850 forage harvester: Bella Katana • In Italy we were able to make up for what we were unable to do in our practical test last season. Near Verona, the Fendt self-propelled showed off its strong throughput and impeccable cutting quality.
Horsch Leeb 1.4CS sprayer: Mounting an assault • It is now three years since Horsch Leeb threw its hat into the mounted sprayer ring. We tested the 1.4CS, a 1,400-litre capacity machine fitted with a 21m boom.

Merlo TF30.7 telehandler: Compact and mighty? • Merlo has returned to the 3.0t handler market with the relatively svelte TF30.7, small in stature with a sizeable punch. There have been lots of changes to the long-awaited TF32.6 successor.

WHO ARE PACAM?
JCB Loadall 514-40 telehandler: Compact helper • Measuring under 1.6m across and just 3.0m long, the diminutive 25hp JCB 514-40 is the smallest and least powerful member of the Loadall telehandler family. So how does this handler stack up on farm?
Volvo L25 Electric wheeled loader: All or nothing • Volvo has now ceased the diesel version of its L25 wheeled loader, deciding to place its focus on the entirely electric version with one battery. We give it a whirl.
JCB 418S and 419S loading shovels: Look before you leap • JCB launched the 418S loading shovel in November 2013 to replace both the 414S and 416S. Offering increased power and a general hike in performance over its predecessors, the 418S was itself replaced by the current 419S in February 2017, this model also offering a further boost in performance. Over a decade on, a used entry level 418S may well be advertised for not far north of £30K as a private sale or non-dealer buy. That buys a lot of loader for your money on paper but don’t’ be too hasty…
